These are the words of an individual who claims to be called 'Paul', but who may, or may not be someone who claims to be called 'Nide'. Whoever he is, this individual has been relentlessly harassing and threatening me (as above) for the last week or so. I've had to delete his messages, switch on comment moderation, and all because he's become so obsessed with me that he (literally) goes for hours without logging out of this site.
Enough's enough.
For a long time now I've been backing this site up on Wordpress, and I'm now going to make that the permanent and ongoing home of this blog. Comments here will be locked, and I'd ask any followers to head over to anatheistviewpoint.wordpress.com where you'll be able to continue to read my thoughts on whatever I feel like writing about.
And 'Paul'? Wordpress allows me to IP block, so it'll be the last we hear of him as well.

Well--so much for the PERSPICUITY OF SCRIPTURE!!!! In the book by Peter Enns (who plainly states he accepts evolution as fact and rejects a literal Adam and literal Fall--and rejects that Paul is talking about a literal Adam in Romans and Corinthians) he states:
"A historical Adam has been the dominant Christian view for two thousand years. We must add, however, that the general consensus was formed before the advent of evolutionary theory...Evolution demands that the special creation of the first Adam as described in the Bible is not literally historical...".
Well - secular scientists today will say that a man can't rise from the dead, or you can't have a virgin birth in humans, or a man can't walk on water--so shouldn't we now (using this same approach as that of Peter Enns) be giving up the literal resurrection and literal Virgin Birth too???

That someone could describe ANYONE else as getting into a 'philosophical mire', when they themselves have got the relationship between an object and that which senses the object so disastrously wrong, is beyond parody or any form of comedy. Listen, Bob, you're so wrong you're not even wrong! The TAG is a failure at proving anything, as it can be used to prove absolutely anything you like! It's also so rooted in an acceptance of the Primacy of Existence, the very thing it seeks to undermine, that only a fool would think it worth pursuing. As I've said before, Christians who employ the TAG are like builders who put up a church, then shout from the steeple that the entire world below it is actually hanging down from the roof! The mental gymnastics needed to reach the conclusions that the TAG claims to supply must drive even it's most balanced fans insane.

Most people who post here have proper IDs set up, so it shouldn't matter too much. I apologise to any genuine people who may want to comment but will be prevented by the slight change.
I'm hoping this small alteration in the way comments are handled will prevent me having to take the next step and introducing moderation (something I really don't want to do).

It's a glorious sunny day here in the West Midlands. What started out as freezing grimness has slowly morphed into bright sun and warmth. Lookling at the shadows my hands cast on my desk made me think about the journey that the photons illuminating the scene had made to arrive on my skin.
The ones that light us all started their journey on the surface of the Sun around 8 minutes before, hurtling through the vacuum of space, before finishing up bouncing off our hands, or tabletops, or keyboards. The vast majority of their brethren will have shot off into space, destined to hit nothing at all until they fall on the surface of some far distant world, many millions of years from now.
Maybe some of them will fall on the eyes of sentient beings on the far side of our galaxy, maybe others will form the smudge of light that is the Milky Way as it appears on the telescope of beings in a far distant galaxy, and maybe, just maybe, some will still be travelling through space when the universe nears its end.
There are incredibly cool things like this happening all around us, all the time, try and take a spare minute or two today to think about them.

As you can see, from the bottom of the image, that's definitely the @cfamablog twitter, but it's been altered to look like the account of another right winger, @Walken4GOP
Could it be anything to do with this article by Keith, where he claims to have outed Walken4GOP as a poe? Obviously the tweets from @Walken4GOP look genuine, the O on GOP is not an 0 as in the fraudulent @Walken4G0P that Keith set up.....but what's going on? Why has Keith changed his account, for a few minutes, to one that imitates someone else?
And why, when one looks at the screen print that Keith posted, does the lettering look off? Below is a set of images, the top is Keith's screen shot, below it is the same lettering on Twitter in IE on Windows 8, followed by the same on Chrome on the Mac, and Safari on the Mac.
The last one is obviously more pixelated, but that's purely down to having to blow the text up to 400% to for comparison against the others. I dunno, something about the top one doesn't look quite right. I'm sure, if you had an account called Walken4G0P it would be a very simple matter to photoshop the OP over the 0P after sending a tweet to yourself.
I really shouldn't care, as Walken4GOP is just as rancid a Keith when it comes to hate speech, but something is smelling of bullshit.

Finally, after a long day at work, I'm home and able to address the accusations made by 'Robby Hart', a pseudonymous troll who has been (along with another of his personas, 'Paul Davis') posting endless amounts of garbage into the comments over the last week or so. Seemingly annoyed that I've been deleting his bonkers missives as a matter of course, 'Robby' decided to send an email to a rarely used account of mine, telling me just how mentally ill he thinks I am.

Firstly, I don't know of a single psychiatric medical professional who would, at the request of a patient, diagnose a complete stranger based entirely on a five minute glance at a blog, let alone then happily tell their patient what they think! In fact, I'm fairly confident that no professional therapist would risk their reputation in such a way, which is why I'm inclined to think that 'Robby' has made the whole thing up.
Secondly, and this is the killer for 'Robby', how did his 'shrink' manage to make that diagnosis during five minutes looking at a screen when neither the psychologist, nor the psychiatrist I've seen to treat a long running anxiety based disorder (blogged about, quite publicly, here) over the last two years didn't come up with that after many many weekly sessions?
The truth of the matter, 'Robby', is your attempt to discredit me by inventing a psychiatrist to 'diagnose' me has failed miserably....and I have to add I was most amused by the line where your 'doctor' describes you and your 'brother' as "highly ethical and honest people", before going on to say "neither of you would lie to anyone about anything really, particularly their mental condition", when that's exactly what you've just done! You need to try and cover fewer bases in your made up letters in future.
Not quite sure what the agenda of this particular troll is (and, rest assured, it is one person), but I think the fact that they would stood this low shows how fucked up they are.
